AWD balances torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance handling and maximize traction, typically before wheelslip can even occur, providing added confidence. Plus, it's designed not to affect load height or step-in height. So it's just as easy to get in and out of the vehicle.
The 2022 Ford Transit Van is designed with safety in mind. With available features like Intelligent Speed Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Reverse Brake Assist and Intersection Assist, you can tackle life's adventures with an added dose of confidence.
Available Traffic Sign Recognition uses navigation maps and a forward-facing video camera mounted behind the rearview mirror to monitor upcoming traffic signs, and displays them on a color screen. It can show two signs simultaneously and even flashes when you're over the speed limit, helping you to drive at the posted speed limit.

Intelligent Speed Assist is designed to enable you to concentrate on the road. First, the Traffic Sign Recognition camera automatically detects the current speed limit, then the system adjusts your maximum speed setting to that limit.

Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control* lets you set a cruising speed and distance from the vehicle ahead of you. When it slows down, you automatically do too; when traffic picks back up, you resume your preset speed and distance. Along with Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control* comes Traffic Sign recognition to identify the speed limit and automatically update the Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control* set speed to the new speed limit.
